Boaz Segal is a Doctor of Laws, lawyer, lecturer, author and mediator.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with honors. Dr. Segal has been a member of the Bar Association since 2006, and has professional experience in practicing law in the field of tort law. In parallel with his work as a lawyer, he continued his studies at the Faculty of Law at the Hebrew University, where he wrote his doctoral thesis in the direct track to the doctorate (Ph.D degree at the Faculty of Law). He completed his doctorate in 2016 on the subject of regulatory negligence under the supervision of Prof. Barak Medina.

Dr. Segal has extensive teaching experience at many academic institutions. He is a faculty member at the Sapir College School of Law, where he also serves as the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs. His main research and teaching topics are tort law, contract law, administrative law, regulatory law, the state in private law, and regulatory negligence. He has published articles on these topics in national and international forums. Dr. Segal regularly participates in conferences and research dealing with these fields.

In addition to his legal and academic career, Dr. Segal is a distinguished literary figure. Four novels by him – “A Woman and Four Countries” (2007), “Love in Law” (2021), My Heart Reads a Horoscope (2025) and The State vs. Ms. Love (2025) – harmoniously combine the two pillars of his inner world: literature and law.

During his military service, he served in the Intelligence Corps. He is married and the father of a son and a daughter, and lives in Kfar Saba.
