Dr. Boaz Segal is an attorney, lecturer, author, and mediator.
He obtained an LL.B. (with distinction) in 2005. Dr. Segal has been a member of the Israel Bar Association since 2006, and worked for a short period as an attorney in the field of tort law. Alongside his legal work, he continued his studies at the Faculty of Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he completed his doctoral dissertation in the direct-track PhD program. He earned his PhD in 2016 with a dissertation on regulatory negligence, under the supervision of Professor Barak Medina.
Dr. Segal has extensive teaching experience across many academic institutions. He is a faculty member at the School of Law at Sapir Academic College, where he also serves as Academic Affairs Coordinator. His core research and teaching fields include tort law, contract law, administrative law, regulatory law, the role of the state in private law, and regulatory negligence. He has published on these subjects in Israel and abroad, and regularly participates in conferences and research initiatives in these areas.
During his military service, he served in the Israeli Intelligence Corps. He is married, a father of a son and a daughter, and lives in Kfar Saba.
